The United Auto Workers convention approved 11 regional directors by acclamation. They fill out the 17-member Executive Board that consists of the president, secretary-treasurer and four vice presidents:
• UAW Region 1 (Metro Detroit and Canada): Elected Chuck Hall to replace Joseph Peters.
• UAW Region 1A (most of Wayne, Washtenaw and Monroe counties in Michigan): Re-elected Rory Gamble.
• UAW Region 1C (11 counties in south-central Michigan including Flint, Lansing and Jackson): Elected Norwood Jewell to replace Duane Zuckschwerdt
• UAW Region 1D (Spans western, central and northern Michigan, including the Upper Peninsula): Elected Gerald Kariem to replace Don Oetman.
• UAW Region 2B (Ohio): Re-elected Ken Lortz.
• UAW Region 3 (Indiana and Kentucky): Re-elected Maurice "Mo" Davison.
• UAW Region 4 (Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana): Elected Ron McInroy to replace Dennis Williams, who became secretary-treasurer.
• UAW Region 5 (Missouri and 16 Western and Southwestern states): Re-elected Jim Wells
• UAW Region 8 (covers the Southeast): Re-elected Gary Casteel.
• UAW Region 9 (western and central New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania): Scott Adams replaces Joseph Ashton, who was elected as a vice president.
• UAW Region 9A (eastern New York, the Northeast and Puerto Rico): Elected Julie Kushner to replace Robert Madore.
